On of the reasons Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election was because she
spent a lot of time in her campaign bubble. Clinton was the insider
candidate in an outsider election. While Clinton had been earnest in her
2008 campaign, in 2016 - a year when voters were looking for honesty
and a leader who was not a perfectly orchestrated politician, Hillary
Clinton came off as too prepared and showed no earnestness or
genuineness. Voters loved Bernie Sanders because he was real. Voters
voted for Trump for the same reason
